Tandoori Pizza
Where Indian spices meet Italian tradition
About Tandoori Pizza
Tandoori Pizza represents something beautiful about Mountain House: the natural, delicious collision of cultures that happens when a diverse community comes together. This innovative eatery on Traditions St takes two of the world's most beloved food traditions — Italian pizza and Indian cuisine — and merges them into something greater than the sum of its parts.
The concept is brilliantly simple. Start with a naan-inspired crust — slightly thicker and chewier than traditional pizza dough, with that characteristic tandoor-kissed flavor. Then layer on toppings from the Indian pantry: tandoori chicken marinated in yogurt and spices, paneer tikka cubed and grilled, spiced lamb keema, fresh cilantro chutney, and sauces ranging from creamy tikka masala to fiery vindaloo.
For purists, classic cheese and pepperoni options are available. And straight-up Indian dishes — butter chicken, biryani, samosas — fill out the menu. But it's the fusion pies that draw the crowds: the Tikka Masala Pizza, with its creamy orange sauce and tender chicken, is the most photographed dish in Mountain House's restaurant scene.
