About Wicklund Elementary School
Wicklund Elementary holds a special place in Mountain House history as the community's very first school, opening its doors in 2005 when the neighborhood was just beginning to take shape. Home of the Wildcats, Wicklund has grown alongside the community it serves.
Located in the heart of Wicklund Village on East Legacy Drive, the school serves approximately 744 students in grades K-8. The campus features modern classrooms, a dedicated STEM lab, and well-maintained athletic facilities. Wicklund offers Project Lead The Way (PLTW) engineering and biomedical programs, a Gifted & Talented program, and comprehensive after-school enrichment options.
With a 7/10 GreatSchools rating, 61% math proficiency, and 65% reading proficiency โ both well above state averages โ Wicklund provides a strong academic foundation. The school's 22:1 student-teacher ratio ensures students receive the attention they need. Principal Ryan Gonzales leads a dedicated teaching staff committed to developing well-rounded learners.
